MNRI® Introduction to Reflex Neuromodulation for Concussion Recovery
Course Description
MNRI® Introduction to Reflex Neuromodulation for Concussion Recovery explores the definition
of concussion and the spectrum of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), the causes, types and severity
of TBI, and the effects of TBI on neurodevelopment and learning. Students will learn to recognize
the signs of concussion and explore the MNRI® concept related to recovery from post concussion
and will learn MNRI® techniques for post-concussion recovery.
PART A. PRERECORDED THEORY
Minds Lecture has this theory and serves as a prerequisite for the 1-day Concussion Class,
containing the following information:
- Definition of Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion as a brain injury.
- Statistical information.
- Causes of concussion.
- Types of TBI.
- Severity of TBI.
- TBI General Symptoms.
- Long term consequences.
- Concussion as a type of traumatic brain injury: it’s effect on neurodevelopment and learning.
- Symptoms of concussion.
- Neurophysiology of concussion.
- Reflexes in concussion and post-concussion:
- How reflexes are negatively affected/damaged by concussion
- How reflexes help to support the survival at concussion momentum and post-concussion period
- Second Impact Syndrome (SIS) in post-concussion and reflexes.
PART B. ONLINE CLASS PRACTICAL INFORMATION AND PRACTICUM
- MNRI® concept of support/facilitation and recovery from post-concussion
- MNRI® research of the effect of Reflex functionality in post- concussion
- Brain mapping results analysis in individuals with concussion before and after the MNRI®
Reflex Training/Neuromodulation Program, based on case study. - Neurotransmitters analysis results in individuals with concussion before and after the MNRI®
Reflex Training/Neuromodulation Program.
- Brain mapping results analysis in individuals with concussion before and after the MNRI®
- Brief MNRI Reflex Integration Protocol for post-concussion
- Tools - protocol and exercises for 5 concussion “Stones”,
- Concussion ‘Stone’ 1: Sensory Modalities– Vision, Auditory Recovery
- Concussion ‘Stone’ 2: Motor System Coordination
- Concussion ‘Stone’ 3: Reflex Blockage Release
